Jim is a retired Australian Navy Captain and current Managing Director of a company specializing in Hazmat/CBR protective equipment. He lives in Canberra, Australia

During his long naval career he enjoyed both patrol craft and frigate command and variously served as head of the naval weapons school, Naval Attaché in London and as Director of Training and Education.

He has had a long-standing interest and involvement with homeland security, training and safety issues at both strategic and operational levels and managed a Canberra company focused on related equipment supply before starting his own company in 2007.  He also is active as a volunteer firefighter.
